WMUK's spring pledge drive begins
KALAMAZOO, Mich.—WMUK's annual spring pledge drive begins Wednesday, April 13. The Western Michigan University-owned National Public Radio member station is celebrating 65 years of broadcasting service to southwest Michigan in 2016.
Campaign goal
WMUK hopes to meet its $160,000 spring campaign goal by the end of a three-day pledge drive. The station uses member contributions to produce local content and purchase programs such as "Morning Edition" and "All Things Considered."
For a limited time, an anonymous donor has agreed to match new memberships as a way to encourage listeners to become supports of the service WMUK provides to the community. WMUK is also holding a drawing for the chance to win pairs of tickets to see comedian Paula Poundstone at the State Theatre on April 24.
